Constructive Teaching Centre
Walter
Carrington, the Constructive Teaching Centre and the Alexander
Technique have almost become synonymous. The Constructive Teaching
Centre is the oldest Alexander Technique training centre in the world.
The Constructive Teaching Centre was established by Walter Carrington
in 1960 as the new home for F.M.Alexander's original training course
which he was supervising at the time of Alexander's death.
Following the death of Walter Carrington in August 2005, the Centre continues under the supervision of his assistants.
In addition to the full-time training course for prospective teachers,
the Constructive Teaching Centre provides private individual tuition
and introductory workshops in the Alexander Technique as well as
refresher courses and workshops for teachers, along with opportunities
for postgraduate studies on the training course for suitably qualified
teachers.
